Raysut Cement Co begins construction of 9MW WHR system21 January 2021, Published under Cement NewsOman’s Raysut Cement Co has begun construction of a new 9MW waste heat recovery (WHR) system at its plant in Salalah. The project is expected to contribute to the company’s ambitious sustainability targets, which include reducing power consumption capacity by 25-30 per cent, lowering CO 2 emissions and cutting water consumption by more than 50 per cent. The producer has contracted Sinoma Overseas Development Co Ltd for the project on an EPC basis. |

Raysut Cement targets east African expansion02 July 2020, Published under Cement NewsOman's Raysut Cement plans a five-fold increase in its cement production capacity, says Joey Ghose, Raysut Cement's CEO. The expansion would see Raysut Cement increase production from 5Mta to 26Mta in the next few years. Pioneer Cement signs limestone development agreement in Georgia02 March 2020, Published under Cement NewsRaysut Cement's UAE subsidiary, Pioneer Cement, has signed an agreement for the development of a limestone mine in Georgia. Under the 10-year deal SFL International will pay a royalty to Pioneer Cement for mining the limestone deposits. Pioneer Cement owns the concession to limestone mines in Georgia where it is currently set to construct a 1.2Mta cement plant. The plant will be located near Tbilisi, adjacent to the limestone mines. Raysut Cement reports 10% revenue increase in 1Q1915 April 2019, Published under Cement NewsOman’s Raysut Cement Co has released its unaudited consolidated financial results for the 1Q19, reporting a 9.8 per cent YoY increase in revenue to OMR23m (US$59.84m) from OMR20.96m. However, profit before tax declined 77.2 per cent in the first quarter to OMR248,478, compared with OMR1.09m of the year-ago period.
